LIU Jin

Principle investigator of Laboratory for Algae Biotechnology & Innovation, Peking University. National youth Thousand Talents Program Fellow and BOYA Youth Scholar. He received a BSc in biology and an MSc in biochemistry and molecular biology from Sun Yat-sen University, and a PhD in algal biotechnology from The University of Hong Kong. Before joining Peking University, he worked as a postdoc and assistant research scientist in Arizona State University and The University of Maryland, respectively. Published over 50 peer-reviewed research articles on top journals of algae fields. Wrote 8 book chapters and edited a book. Research interests: 1) lipid metabolism, 2) carotenogenesis, 3) systems biology and synthetic biology, 4) Algae-based biofuels, bio-products, and bioremediation
