Topic：Economics of Tobacco Control in China

主讲人介绍：Dr Teh-wei Hu is Professor Emeritus of Health Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. His areas of expertise are the application of econometrics to health care services research and the economics of tobacco control. He is the author of more than 200 publications. In 2010, he was a recipient of the American Public Health Association’s Carl Taube Award for his contribution towards mental health services research. In 2014, he was awarded a medal by the World Health Organization in recognition for this outstanding contribution to “raising tax in tobacco”. He served as a member of the U.S government of Inter-Agency Committee of Health and Smoking, and as a consultant on health care financing reform and economics of tobacco control to the World Bank, the World Health Organization, and a senior policy advisor to Ministries of Health in China and the governments of Hong Kong and Taiwan.
