近日，国家发展研究院教授余淼杰与其博士生崔晓敏合作撰写的论文“The Impacts of China's Trade on ASEAN's Trade”被书籍Production Networks in Southeast Asia收录。

论文简介：

This paper makes use of trade data from the UN Comtrade database to study the impact of China’s trade on ASEAN’s trade, and shows how ASEAN countries can improve their value-added in exports and trade competitiveness. First, we find that on average ASEAN had the strongest revealed comparative advantage (RCA, hereafter) in animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes, where China did not have comparative advantages. This reflects the structural complementarity of trade between China and ASEAN. However, China remained competitive in manufacturing, which ASEAN had weak RCA in. Thus China and ASEAN may compete severely in this sector. Second, when it comes to the question what is the impact of China’s trade on ASEAN’s trade, both complementarity and substitution/competition effects co-exist. ASEAN countries can improve their value-added in exports and trade competitiveness through trade liberalization and increasing investment on R&D and technical training.

Production Networks in Southeast Asia是2017年由东盟和东亚经济研究院（Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia）的Lili Yan Ing和Fukunari Kimura博士编辑、Routledge出版社出版的，致力于研究中国对东南亚贸易影响以及东南亚国家在“亚洲工厂”中扮演角色等方面问题的书籍。

东盟和东亚研究院是2007年11月21日在新加坡举行的第三届东亚峰会上由16国政府首脑提出建立的国际机构。它一方面同东南亚国家联盟秘书处及其它东亚研究机构一同为东亚经济发展提供研究支持和政策建议，另一方面则致力于加强欠发达地区的政策研究能力。
