国家发展研究院经济学教授、北大博雅特聘教授，教育部经济学长江学者特聘教授。雷晓燕教授还担任国发院党委书记，中国经济研究中心（CCER）主任，北京大学健康老龄与发展研究中心主任，教育部-北京大学人力资本与国家政策研究中心副主任，Journal of Economics of Aging副主编，Health Economics 副主编，SSM – Health Systems 编委。雷晓燕教授系中国人民大学经济学学士（1997）、硕士（2000），美国加利福尼亚大学洛杉矶校区经济学硕士（2003）、博士（2007），2007年至今任教于北京大学国家发展研究院。雷晓燕教授的研究兴趣包括劳动经济学，健康经济学，老龄化经济学，应用计量学。数十篇学术研究成果已经在国际顶级期刊如Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Human Resources，Journal of Health Economics和国内顶级期刊如《经济研究》、《经济学（季刊）》等上面发表。在国家发展研究院先后教授劳动经济学 （研究生课程）、实证策略（研究生课程）、健康经济学（研究生课程）、中级微观经济学（本科生双学位课程）等课程。
