Li Xinchuang

Mr Li Xinchuang is a State Council Special Allowance Expert, professor-level senior engineer and registered consulting engineer (investment). He holds various positions, including President and Chief Engineer of China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute, Deputy Secretary-general of CISA, and Director of Metallurgical Technical Economics Committee at the Chinese Society for Metals.
He has been heavily involved in the making of China’s 8th to13th Five-Year Plan and other key government policies on the iron and steel industry, development planning and preliminary investigation on feasibility of major projects for hundreds of domestic and foreign steel mills.
Approved by the State Council, China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute was established in April 1972 as a national consulting institution. MPI is specially engaged in development plan and strategies research of metallurgical industry.
