Liu Yanhua serves as the Director of the Expert Committee at the NCCC. He is also a counsellor of the State Council. He has dedicated his career life to the domestic resource industry and climate change technology. In addition, Liu used to be the Vice Minister at the Ministry of Science and Technology during 2001-2010.
Liu graduated from University of Science and Technology of China in 1981 and received a Master degree of Nature Physics. In 1991, he received a Ph.D. of Physical Geography from the Institute of Geographic Research, China Academy of Sciences.
Established in 2007, the NCCCC is providing guidance for central and local governments’ response to climate change.
