Li Junfeng

Mr. Li Junfeng is currently serving as a researcher at the National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation. He used to serve as the Director General of China’s National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation and the Vice President of Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association. He is a member of China’s National Energy Advisory Council, the Expert-Committee of National High-tech Program, and Academic Committee of China’s Environmental Protection Ministry. In January 2017, he won the Ninth Annual Zayed Future Energy Prize Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mr. Li has dedicated his 30-year career life to energy economy and energy environment studies. He was in charge of the structure and drafting of China’s Renewable Energy Law and China’s Medium and Long-Term Development Plan for Renewable Energy Development. From 1999 to 2011, Mr. Li used to serve as the Deputy Director General of Energy Research Institute, National Development and Reform Commission and the Chair of the Academic Committee of ERI.
 
National Centre for Climate Change Strategy and International Cooperation is an institution under the NDRC, and acts as a national research entity to address climate change and promote global collaboration.
