【Position details】
Position Title: Senior Consultant – BBP&R
Business Group: Human Capital
Grade: E

【Position Objectives】
To lead and managing client project teams, understanding client issues and developing practical HR programs/solutions that contribute to organisational success and support business strategies of the identified clients.

【Key Responsibilities】
• Identifies new business opportunities and positions the firm well within key geographical markets;
• Plans, designs, resources and manages client projects and directs staff in executing the plan;
• Demonstrates intellectual leadership and consistently tests final deliverables for completeness, relevance, and high impact against client issues and needs;
• Delivers projects on time and within budget; optimises the firm’s resources and promotes the success and development of individuals, the team and the overall prosperity of the firm;
• Nurtures key client relationships, identifies opportunities to broaden or deepen these relationships, anticipating and responding to future client needs
• Applies extensive experience in a Broad Based Performance and Rewards (BBP&R) context across a number of industries.

Contributes to the development of best practices, new applications, and improvements to methods and analytical techniques, enhancing and expanding Mercer’s Intellectual Capital. Capability can be applied across a number of the following (BBP&R) areas:-

• Reward strategy;
• Market benchmarking and job pricing;
• Classification frameworks and systems;
• Remuneration management;
• Job Evaluation using structured tools (e.g. points factor methodologies);
• Incentive Plan review, design and implementation.

In addition, the incumbent will contribute to the delivery of integrated solutions, supporting senior consultants and peers in other service segments (eg Workforce Strategies and Executive Remuneration), when required, including the following areas:

 Performance management
 Organisation, leadership, workforce and attitudinal analytics and review
 Competency and career frameworks
 Remuneration Reviews
 Short and Long Term Incentive Plan Design
