Course Description 课程简介
This is a course on Intermediate Microeconomics. This course will introduce you to the basic knowledge and skill of microeconomics, and give you insights into many interesting phenomena in economy. We will discuss the behavior of consumers and producers respectively, and then investigate how different market structure comes out with different outcome. Acquainted with the basic tools, we will further explore the applications of microeconomics in different economic fields, like international trade and industrial organization. By studying the course, I hope you will develop a keen interest in economics, a set of analytical tools that are widely used, and as well as the ability to analyze a wide array of economic issues. The course is given in Chinese.
本课程是微观经济学的基础课，介绍微观经济学的基本知识和技能，帮助我们解释经济生活中的现象。课程内容包括消费者理论和生产者理论；竞争性市场均衡和政策干预的福利分析；垄断、垄断竞争和价格歧视；寡头垄断，博弈论入门和竞争性策略；不确定性、风险偏好和资产市场；外部性和公共品；要素市场等。课程还将穿插讨论微观经济学在不同经济领域如国际经济学和产业组织等的简单应用。中文授课。

Assignment 作业 4*5%=20% ; Midterm 期中30%; Final 期末50% 。

Course Policies 课程规定:
All homework assignments are due and must be handed in during lecture.作业应按时完成并在课堂提交。
Homework is graded "check+", "check", and "check-". When determining course grades, the homework is recorded as a 100% for "check+", a 80% for "check", a 60% for "check-", and 0% if not handed in. There is a significant penalty for NOT handing in the homework.作业分为三档，优计5分，良4分，中3分，不交或迟交0分。
Make-up policy: No make-up exams will be provided. A student who missed the midterm will earn zero grade for the exam, unless he is sick and can submit a medical note from or endorsed by the University Health Center本课不提供补考机会。除非健康原因或经学校批准，如有缺考按北京大学有关规定办理。 Regrade policy: If you appeal to re-grade your midterm, you should submit to TA your entire answer key and attach a sheet explaining which question(s) and the reason(s). The deadline to submit any re-grade is within one week after the graded exam is distributed. 如对成绩有质疑，可向助教提出书面申请期中考试重判。 Exams are closed book with a mixture of short answer and multiple part analytical problems. The final is cumulative with a greater weight on material from the second part of the semester.期末考试闭卷，题型为短问及分析题。 Academic HonestyThe University has a zero-tolerance policy on cheating and plagiarism. Violations can lead to disciplinary actions including the termination of studies at the University. 学校对考试作弊零容忍。
